All five superheroes have Transformer-like ability, and from their spaceship, The Phoenix, they range through space and over the earth, battling the archvillain Zoltar. He is the ruler of the dying planet Spectra, from which he hatches nefarious plots both on his own and at the bidding of The Supreme One (a mysterious
"Galactic Being"). The heroic G-Force take their cues from the clever little robot 7-Zark-7, who leads the fight against evil from Command Center Neptune
(located under the Pacific Ocean). In this issue, one menace involves a solar blockade, while the other includes a huge "Lake Monster." The issue begins with a wild action cover that includes all five G-Force members. This is one of our favorite titles of the era.
CONDITION: is virtually perfect!
This unread comic is still flat, glossy and brilliantly colorful. CGC grades it NEAR MINT/MINT with exceptional off-white to white pages, awarding it the extraordinary unrestored Universal Grade of 9.8. CGC did not note any flaws on their tag whatsoever. The color covers are remarkably rich and vibrant. HIGHEST RECORDED GRADE: As we write this, CGC's own website indicates that this book has the highest grade ever awarded by independent grading service CGC for a BATTLE OF THE PLANETS #3. CGC has only ever graded one other BOTP 3 this highly, and has never graded any BOTP #3 higher than this one! It is a spectacular book!
